Well, this show (Primeval) is the one which first brought Andrew-Lee to my attention, and I love it ... without the show I'd never have been introduced to Stranded!
Anywho, for your enjoyment, folks, here is a new video interview with Andrew-Lee discussing the new series of Primeval, (and he mentions other roles too - they are in the middle of filming the new series of Ideal! Awesome, yes?! ) and his job as director of both the series 2 teasers and the behind the scenes documentary which will be on the DVD release and on the site. Woo!
Plus, darn it, he's looking particularly hot with short hair.

Enjoy folks! *grinz from ear to ear* Endymion.

This is a Series 2 interview with Andrew-Lee about his character and a little about the events of the new series.
On Set! It’s all change for Connor Temple as he finds himself part of a new reality. His alter ego Andrew-Lee Potts tells us more… As became very clear in the final scenes of Season One, things have altered for the Primeval team. There are obvious changes like new base the Anomaly Research Centre, and less obvious ones, as lead writer Adrian Hodges and his cast apply the lessons they learnt in the series’ first run. “I’ve been lucky,” comments actor Andrew-Lee Potts, the team’s in-house nerd Connor Temple. “Adrian really enjoyed writing for my character last year, he’s said himself that he relates to me the most. Not that I’m saying Adrian Hodges is an oddball at all!” he adds hastily. “So that’s very lucky for me because I get the kind of experiences that maybe he would want to go through, so I’ve progressed quite a lot in this series.” The actor has also latched on to the key point of the first season cliffhanger – that history has been somehow changed – and used it to fine-tune his performance. “The great thing about an alternate reality, which is something we’ve tried to create here, is that we give everybody a platform to go, ‘Hang on, what doesn’t work about the first series, and what does work? Let’s just chuck away the nuts stuff.’ And that’s what basically has happened. So we’ve lost the stuff that we thought didn’t work, and we’ve made what did work stronger, hopefully. I mean, I get a girlfriend…” Oh, really? “He gets chatted up by this beautiful woman [Caroline] who you’d never expect to be interested in him,” the actor explains, “but seems to be extremely into Connor-isms. But that might be more than meets the eye…” he hints. “The thing is, he’s never had attention from anyone before, and is obviously infatuated with Abby, so the fact that a beautiful girl like that shows him any attention whatsoever…” The irony is that, behind the scenes, Potts and his co-star Hannah Spearritt, who plays Abby, did become a couple just after shooting on Season One wrapped, and have bought a house which they’ll be moving into in the New Year. That’s a weird echo of the more platonic flat share of Abby, Connor and prehistoric reptile Rex in the series itself. “Yes, they still live together. In a cooler flat; it was quite cool last year and they have an even better flat this year,” Potts comments. Not that cool though, what with the reptiles to keep happy… “Yeah,” he confirms. “Every time they go and film there it’s the snake man that comes. I held my first python this year.” Far from being a frightening experience, Potts says he found it, “Quite relaxing. It was quite calming, a little bit like a cat. And then I got quite proud of myself that I was brave to do that.” What about screen kisses? “Such a tabloid question!” the actor laughs. “That’s the thing about Caroline: even though she’s quite full-on, she’s quite guarded physically, so even though Connor might go in for the kill, she might turn the cheek, and there’s the whole, ‘Why is she like that?’” With his actual girlfriend on set, Potts found that quite reassuring. “Obviously people have to kiss people as actors and stuff, but yeah, I wouldn’t have enjoyed that at all, it would have been quite uncomfortable.”

I totally agree, Random! And I didn't think they could make Connor any more adorable, but, darn it, they did!
I adored the Raptors - especially the baby - and I like how they didn't dwell on Claudia disappearance but ti still loomed over the proceedings all the same. Great work.
And of course, the best bit...Connor and the tranquilliser gun, pretending to be James Bond...and that look on Abby's face while watching him was priceless. LMAO
Favourite quote (to paraphrase):
Connor: So how do you know I haven't changed? Cutter: *walking away* some people never change. Connor: *looking very confused and watching Cutter leave* Is that a bad or good thing?[/color]
I can't wait for episode 2! Endymion.

Just saw episode three last night! This series is getting better and better - all the thrills and spills, the humour and intrigue we come to expect of the show! Congratulations to Impossible Pictures! Well, I suppose grudging congrats to ITV are in order too... :/ Anyway, just follow this lil link to the Unofficial (and best!) Primeval discussion boards for more news, info and discussions.

Suffice to say, for me the best character is Connor! What an adorable team member he is. ;D Without him the show would be way too serious and nowhere near half as appealing. this week he finally laid his hands on a gun only to (again!) mistakenly shoot the wrong thing. But hey, it was a good shot nonetheless. *lol*
Better go before my fangirlyness hits its peak! Hehe! Endymion.

Hiya Tiny! Welcome to the forum, hunny! I know, sweet lil Connor was heartbroken, poor lamb! Andrew-Lee's just too good at the understated emotional scenes, for sure. And i love the Mers-I reckon they're not a huge threat as Cutter thought. I mean, What did they actually do to harm anyone?! And the tension between Stephen and The rest of ARC is building brilliantly. I love this ep best of all the S2 ones. Hugz, Endymion.

bit of a blooper on the intro AND extro for primeval last night, the woman called him cutLer for starters, which i found hilarious (anything remotely related to pirates pleases me ) and then at the end said "back next year"...i think she meant back next week xXx

I totally agree with you both, ladies!! Though I might be on my own in confessing to being somewhat disappointed with the very end of the series... Helen's "master plan" looked somewhat, well, frankly, ridiculous. Though, it does prove that things might not remain the same as they wound up. Hehe! is that enigmatic enough without spoiling the ending? *grinz*
And who among us can wait for the DVD to come out on the 17th of March?! I desperately want to see Andrew's work on the behind the scenes documentary - surely it'll be livelier than the making of on last series' DVD - and wonder if our lovely Pirate Pants will be happy to include some outtakes and things, perhaps over the end credits? *lol* what?! I know! I know! I'm hinting like mad about the bloopers! I wanna see them running around and reacting from invisible creatures. *lmao* (I want to see some Stranded bloopers too, but thats highly unlikely to happen now since its seven years since the shows release.)
Endymion.
