Yayy! I'VE SEEN IT!! *lol* Just got home from the cinema
Its actually a pretty good movie - there are a few "jumpy" bits (some are predictable, others kind sneak up on you) and the suspense was at a tolerable level for me - its the suspense that I hate about horror movies! Hehe!
And John Cusack is spot on, as ever. He does a brilliant job in the role of cynical supernatural author Mike Enslin who mocks the tales of events in The Dolphin Hotel's "evil" room, 1408. That is until it brings its full terrible powers to bear on him.
Okay, so I admit, hardened horror fans will probably be disappointed with the whole but I reckon, considering it was considerably expanded from a Stephen King short story, I think its a great effort and pretty entertaining. Not sure I'd buy it, mind you.
However, moving along to Andrew's role - as I suspected it was a "blink and you'll miss him" role! His total screentime is approximately a minute and that's probably five or ten minutes into the film. He plays Jackson, the postie in Mike Enslin's general post office (or whatever the American term is) and compliments the author on his new book.
*lol* It kinda looked like Andrew just wandered onto the set, said his cheerful lil piece to Mike and meandered away again. Still, he looks cute in it (as usual) so I'm happy. Incidentally, this is my first time of seeing Andrew on the big screen! Yayy!!
Has anyone else seen 1408? What did you think?
