I've done some digging and I'm certain I've finally managed to find some behind the scenes images from the filming of Stranded showing the Thailand crew!
I'm trying to translate the information site since its in Polish (I think, anyway) but I've notices the name of the director Charles Beeson hidden in the text. As yet, though, there are just the pictures for your delectation. I generally prefer candid shots, but these posed ones of the crew members are unusual and a very special find. I love 'em.

Enjoy the pics, folks! Endymion.

Well, I've sent the webpage off for translation to a Polish workmate of my sister's so hopefully I'll get that back soon and I can type it up for the site. I'm so curious to find out what has been said about the filming of the show - and perhaps of the cast and other crew, also. And, I'm still looking around for other site which might directly or indirectly reference to the making of Stranded. Endymion.

*sigh* No sign of a translation yet, folks, but I'm working on a secondary plan for learning the contents of this delightful looking webpage!
I'll letcha know if the "plan" works out.

*lol* I've just tried a couple of different online translators with Stefan Czyzewski's webpage and, ahem, its come up partially readable. Hehe.
It makes very little sense, however; sadly those are the limitations of the online translations, since the meanings and usages of words are taken literally by the programs.
Some of the meaning can be guessed at. At certain points Stefan says "...job for 'second the uniats' ", which is very probably "... job for the second unit", which are the team of cinematographers who shoot the lesser scenes, ones not pivotal to the story. Hence I suspect that Stefan was among the men responsible for those beautiful panoramic views and such. Also, excitingly, I discovered references to both Mother (so, this is obviously Brana Bajic) and Pickles (Francis Magee) so this is obviously referring to the scene in which Pickles attacks Lara - as the excerpt below shows.
"Very clearly I could observe in one from seemingly straight scenes above the bank zatoki, "Mother" (taken Bajic) runs away before the coursing it pirate "Pickles" (Francis Magee) overtaking coastal stones and zarosla."
You see how it can be guessed at but not wholly understood? *lol* Perhaps his was the scene looking down from the embankment (is one takes "zatoki" as a specific kind of bank... the translator software can't translate zatoki or zarosla into English)
Now, another read through of the page gives me the impression that its mostly about the technical side of things, the camera running speeds, the distances over which he was filming and details like that. All in all, we need to try another method to get information.
Any ideas on how to do that, folks? Or do we, by some miracle, have somone who understands Polish as a member here? Hehe, yeah, a forlorn hope, I believe, but worth a shot all the same.
Enjoy! Endymion.
